There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Maybe the average citizen in this country would have a better understanding and appreciation of what FREEDOM means if they had to serve. Maybe just maybe the draft wasn't such a bad thing.

All of us who served did so for our own reasons. Many from patriotism, some from economic necessity, some from just not knowing what else to do. A few had the judge's choice of jail or service. No one owes us anything, we owe the country a debt for our freedom. Some of us were lucky enough to just pay with time and sweat, others, less lucky, with blood, and many with their lives. Service is what all Americans owe our country for the freedoms we enjoy that were paid for by our forefathers who sacrificed for us. Freedom is never free, but it's a debt that has to be payed forward so that our children and grandchildren can enjoy it. At least that's how I feel. I will admit it's nice to see today's warriors getting the respect that my generation was denied by the nation. Happy Memorial Day Spyder riders.

My father served in WWII. He enlisted when he was 36 years old. Spent his time in Sherman Tanks, was the only one of his crew to survive the war. My aunt was one of the women pilots that flew the planes to overseas bases and delivered them to the combat pilots. My service went for 27 years, from Vietnam to the Desert. Our two sons were Air Force and Marines. The only war we did not cover was Korea and I know someone would of been there if they would have been of age.

Fyi i had to get some of the patches custom made along with one in my signature:2thumbs:Great video. Thanks. USAF 1952-1981 with four years active reserve while going to college after the Korean War on the Korean GI bill. Received a commission and went back in. Korea 1953, Viet Nam 1969. I saw the world.....and we live in the best there is!!!

I appreciate this sentiment. 10 years USN, including a tour in-country Vietnam. Proud of my service, but not so proud of the politicians that have and continue to send young people to their fate in far-away wars that have nothing to do with defending America. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan. What a waste of life and resources.

Nicely said. The civilian community's job starts when service members come home and try to start their lives over again. Some communities understand that and others think that a nod to veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans' Day is all they owe to those who serve. WRONG. That is a very shallow form of patriotism and all too common in many of the communities I've lived in since service. I must say though that after coming to live in Utah, I feel truly recognized and appreciated.
Sorry about the rant. Thanks for recognizing our service.

This coming Saturday June 3, 2017, a group that I co-chair "Honor Flight of Southern New Jersey" will be taking 5 bus loads of WWII, Korean and some Viet Nam veterans to see their memorials. Some for the very first time. We go every year on the Saturday closest to June 6th (D-DAY). We will have police and close to 100 Motorcycles ( a number of different clubs including the Legion Riders and the Nam Knights) escorting the busses. As a lot of the MC's peal off as the busses leave NJ some MC's will continue for the complete trip but will also be joined by Legion Riders and Nam Knights MC from each state we go through to continue the escort down to DC.
As we go through the towns on the bus route the local Police stop traffic and salute the Veterans as they pass. if anyone wants to see any pictures go to

I appreciate you showing us the video. I remember after 911, my daughter surprised me when she and a friend went to a public ceremony honoring America. I didn't realize until then that Imy service had rubbed off on her.

Our oldest daughter is currently serving in the US Army, our nephew is serving in the Navy, my brother and our fathers have all served. We thank them all and everyone who is now serving or previously served.
Your sacrifices for our freedom is something we can never fully thank you for.
