• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I did something stupid

Out of curiosity, I removed the grey plastic plug in the middle of the handle bars on my RTS. When I went to put it back, it slipped out of my fingers and fell into the hole and is now nowhere to be seen. Anyone know how to get to it? If I leave it there and just buy a new one, can it possibly interfere with the steering?

Are you talking about the hole under the handle bars? If so, I droppes a washer in there once, took me 15 minutes to fish it out with a magnet. You might be able to snag it with a flexible tube with duct tape or gorilla tape on the end. Be patient, stuff sits in there where you cannot see it. Will take time.

Even if you can grab it with something orienting it to get it back up through the hole could be a challenge. If you're up for it that's what I would suggest. However, perhaps it's time to remove some plastic. Not a difficult task it just takes a few minutes. Maybe even less than fishing for it.

Start with the mirror and middle side panel on which ever side you choose. I don't think it'll matter. Top side panel is next followed by the acoustic panel. You'll at least have some visual access to the area. If you want to stick your hand in there though the headlight comes off next which means the front fascia has to come off first.

Good luck which ever way you choose.

Auto parts stores have flexable wands with either a clip orperated at the handle or mag type end. Might try that if you see it

Welcome to the club! I have a fairing bolt lost somewhere in the bowels of the 2009 Spyder. Others have seat bolts that have gone to never never land. I would recommend getting a new one and don't waste your time trying to fish, or take the spyder apart in the process.

On the off-chance that it made it's way to the bottom of the gulley...
You could drop the belly pans on your bike to see if it's laying down there...
But go buy another one anyway!
If your bike is as hungry as mine; it has already digested the morsel that you fed it... :gaah:
