• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I did it!

The rear Kenda is gone and a Kumho now sits where the Kenda was! Question: I am 6'5 and just a few biscuits shy of 300lbs! Suggestions on tire pressure? Thanks in advance!

:2thumbs: :ohyea::congrats::yes: You have made a good choice and should notice ride and handling benefits right away. If I were you I would start around 22 lb then adjust from there. I have always used the 10% rule to determine my tire pressures. Start cold at 22 drive until the tire in up to temp maybe about an hour and check the air pressure. If it has grown by 10% you know you hit the magic number. You should probably go buy a lottery ticket. If more then 10% your starting pressure was too low,if less then 10% pressure was too high.Adj accordingly and try again tomorrow. Or when you know the tire is stone cold.

Hope you don't mind me asking:.
a. how many miles were on the Kenda????
b. which Kuhmo tire??????
c. did you change your front tires, if yes, to what tire???
There's a LOT of info here on the optimal tire inflation pressure for a rear car tire. Some people are recommending 18-20 PSI. Some inflate to 21-23 PSI. Then there are those who go by the "manufacturer's recommendation" of 26-30 PSI. I have read where the 26-30 PSI will prematurely wear out the center of a car tire. I think you just have to experiment and see what pressure(18-23) feels good to you. I have no experience in this area. Still running my OEM tires @8300 miles. Since my RTL has warranty coverage till 2020, I'll go with OEM size car tires as replacements, since the saying is that "any car tire is better than the Kendas".

I replaced the Kenda with the Kumho Ecsta AST 225/50/R15. My Kenda has 1000 miles on it! I didn't replace the fronts. Now your saying 1000 miles! Why? Well prior to getting into the Spyder world in March I rode the Kawasaki Vulcan 2000, the big one with the 125 cubic inch motor. I replaced rear tires as fast as some change underwear! I tried every motorcycle tire that would fit it. The best was the Michelin Commander 2 and I only got 4,700 on her before I needed to replace it. After reading this forum for 4 months it obvious the rear Kenda isn't going to last very long! I am leaving on a 3-4000 mile trip in two weeks and the last thing I want to do is have to change tires on the road! I'm also going to do my first oil change before I leave so I don't have to do the oil! I'm hoping the car tire will give me more mileage than a motorcycle tire! I have a 2016 F3T with 1000 miles on it. I have never run a car tire that's why I wondering about the tire pressure!
