I can steer with my feet?!

I took the bike out for an evening spin down the Colonial Parkway which is a relatively flat and straight road. Put the radio up and the cruise control on and just laid back against my back rest… Kicked my feet out to rest on the two front wheel’s fenders; took my hands off the handles to air out my hands; and that’s when I realized that with very little effort I could use my feet to gradually steer the bike! It only took me 15,000 miles to figure that out! Holy smokes, it makes long straight roads so much nicer! Just another reason to love this machine!!

Do whatever you want to, but if the Highway Patrol sees you with both hands off the grips, they will let you make a nice donation to the State. Some States require both hands to be on the grips. Other States have no specific law, but if both hands are off the grips they can write you up for not being in control of your vehicle (which is the legal term for showing off). .

Some States do require you to have both hands on the grips at all times the motorcycle is in operation. Other laws of certain States forbid holding a pet or package of any kind which would prevent putting both hands on the hand grips to steer the motorcycle. Many other State laws are listed by State. Some are about helmet use, some about special licence requirements, lane splitting, carrying passengers, eye protection, gloves, and many other things. Even if you are only passing through another State, you must comply with their motorcycle laws too.

Not too long, I expect; the paint's not all that forgiving, and the brackets don't stand up too long to any other pressure; and replacement fenders and brackets aren't cheap, either!!

lol well shucks fellas! What can I say… I was just sharing a lil bit of fun I discovered!

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! Just note, you can only ‘ease’ the bike left/right with this method. So it’s only for long straight roads where you can sorta bounce between the lines. Very enjoyable. Very.
