• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I can relate to this! You?

Anyone else relate to this when working on your Spyder?

Oh yes, at the very least they will roll to the exact center underneath the nearest object where they will be just out of reach from any angle.:banghead:

 I blame the "Tool-Fairies". nojoke
Every time that I put something down (or something falls...): they cart it off to that alternate dimension! :gaah:

Oh yeah!!!!! They usually disappear through a dimensional barrier, never to be seen again!!!!! Even searching with a magnet cannot locate the dang things!!!!!:gaah::gaah::gaah::gaah:

Oops, sorry Bob, I did not notice your "alternate dimension" comment before I posted. I should have read all the replies.

Oh yeah....

Especially on a spyder....have learned to plug up all openings with shop towels when working on them..:lecturef_smilie:and though through the years I have accumulated enough spares the doubt remains...:banghead: will it rattle it's way down and fall out the back onto the belt...:yikes:

DITTO THAT

:cus: :cus: :cus: :agree: :dontknow: :gaah: :cus: :lecturef_smilie: :shemademe_smilie: :dg2:  :cus: :hun:  :duh: :cus: :wrong:

In relation to Murphy's Law, I read something very similar to this as being one of Murphy's Axioms of auto repair - the bolt, nut, washer or tool you drop will find it's way to the geographical center under the vehicle.

H2O

I think all the bolts, screws, nuts, and washers we have lost must be at the same place all those dang socks go.....:banghead:

I think the "directly to the floor" is too great a %, but other than that I agree.

Goes along with any hose dragged along any surface no matter how smooth that surface is will get hung up somewhere:shocked:

The Pig Got It!

One of the shops that I frequent has a resident pig (pet). Pig needs to be watched because of tool and part theft.

got it

I can relate..Theory is once you remove a nut, bolt or screw, and it drop or falls, it is made to vanish or disappear once they make contact to any floor or ground. :dontknow: why, they are just made that way..:joke::roflblack:

Parts

Look at the phenomena as a blessing. :)
Just think of all the "Bits and Parts" you don't have to waste
time searching for or bending over to pick up. They're gone.

That alternate universe must be filling up with lost Spyder bits..

I had taken the the Tupperware off the other day, when I went to put everything back together I dropped one of the torx screws....I looked and looked, could not find it. Backed it up a few feet, still didn't see it. Finally just sat down to calm down take a swig of a diet Dew and there it was on the inside of the rim. Keep in mind I rolled it back 3 feet or so...it must have hung in there like a gerbil on his wheel...

LESSONS LEARNED FROM PIE CHART

You would not believe how much " Duct " tape is on my Spyders ....past and present :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....... I don't even take it off anymore :lecturef_smilie:.................... Mike

I believe you folks have figured that out.

Cue Music: Twilight Zone Theme...

That seems to be why beer or something similar seem to go so good with :ani29::spyder::spyder2: repairs.

Anyone find my 5 cell Maglight? Its still missing after five years when I installed the Seal Floorboards.
