I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE?

I must admit that I do get tired of the questions and usually try to be as polite as I can. As a lady rider I get the comment primarily from guys that its a "big bike" and constantly asked how I like it and just how fast it can go.

Of course "I LOVE IT!!!" is how I like it and when I leave you in the dust, yeah... it can go quite fast... for a GIRL!:shocked:

This is exactly what I was told when I ordered my sidecar 7 years ago, and it's been true for most of those years! At least I'll be prepared for the questions when I get my :spyder2:. There are very few of them (sidecars or :spyder2:'s) on the road around here on the Delmarva Peninsula.

While taking a short ride last Sunday I kept hearing a horn blowing behind me??? :hun: I kept looking around and not knowing which vehicle it was I would blow my horn back as a sign of "HEY Back At Ya!!!" :2thumbs: Well I finally get to a stop sign where once again I hear the horn...BUT :yikes: this time I notice a truck behind me with an older gentlemen asking me to hold on!! :gaah:Well he jumps out, camera in hand, and states that he been following me for 3 miles honking his horn because he's been always wanted to take a REAL picture of the "SPYDER" since he's seen it on TV. :welcome: Neddless to say I obliged and traffic waited for him to snap off some pics....... BTW... He wanted me to pose on the bike also!!!! hyea:

Rode up to the local Waffle House yesterday for breakfast before my ride. While trying to eat got a barage of questions about the :spyder:. Three different servers had to ask where I had this custom trike made? I calmly answered Canada :roflblack:. Took me almost an hour to leave the parking lot due to all the questions and admirers. Even though it's frustrating at times is sure is a ball feeling like a 'Rock Star".

Questions!

After owning my SPYDER for 5 weeks and having to answer all sorts of questions about speed, mileage,and cost,I finally figured out how to handle the people. I went to my dealer and picked up several brochures and put them in my rear storage box and when approached, I give them the complete package and tell them to read. It still doesn't stop them completely, but it helps.

I don't live very far from Cowtown so the "Rock Star " thing is going away but NOW I have to make sure I take my KEY with me when I park my:spyder2: Too many folks around here know how to START it!!!:2thumbs::roflblack:

Got our first :spyder2: in July 08. The RT S in Febuary of 10. If I have to keep answering these same questions for another three years I swear I'll be about half fedup with it all!!!!

My wife and I stoped for lunck the other day and our server asked "are you riding that "Thingy" out there". I wanted to answer, No, we push it----Heeeerrrrreeeeessss your sign.

Then we had a funny encounter with a cop at a gas station in MI. He wanted to know how fast the Spyder would go. I told him that it would go fast enough for him to write me a ticket. He offered to put the radar gun on me.

True story of a brief encounter with a motorcycle officer:

Me: (sheepishly) 70
Cop: (smiling) Good answer.
Me: Well, I was in a residential zone!
Cop: (stern look...then he laughed)

He was pretty cool about it.

He also was asking about gas mileage and I sort of hesitated and said I get so much but I could get better mileage ... and he answered for me and said when you behave!

Here's what I did:
fired up the computer, cut and pasted a pic of my Spyder, the BRP web address, the Spyderlovers web address for the front, and the specifications for the back, printed it out on card stock - instant trading cards to hand out when you are in a hurry and can't stick around to answer questions!

I rode my wife's RT Limited to the gas station a couple of days ago to fill it up for her to ride to work the next day. I needed a few things from the grocery store, so stopped at a near by Save Mart. People pulled in behind me as I parked and said "hey, I saw those on TV". A lady loading her groceries next to my space asked too many questions. I was followed into the store by a very nice gentelman who also had many questions to ask about the Spyder. He was a Viet Nam vet like me so the conversation took over 30 minutes (I had ice cream in my cart). When I returened to the parking lot, a lady with 3 young kids were ogling the Spyder (at a respectful distance). She asked if I minded if she took a picture of it to show her husband. She said it looks like something from the "Transformer" movie. As I was driving to exit the parking lot, another car with a middle age couple in it stopped to ask questions. They finally drove on after a few horn honks from people wanting to get by them.

My 5 mile round trip to get gas and a couple of things from the store took a little over an hour. I have a lot of patience, but it was close to being tested that day.
