• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought it!

See, this is why I can't test drive anything. I end up with it. Hubby is no help either. He just encourages it and really egs me on. while I was at work, he was calling up dealers and making the deal. I'm not complaining, but at least offer some resistance. Driving the spyder home yesterday was just a treat. I like it even more. I feel much more comfortable on it than my motorcycle. The power is very good and the handling is great! Although I do need handlebar extenders to make it more comfortable. I couldn't take it to work today due to the thunderstorms which I was bummed about. I am very surprised at how much storage it has. One thing we learned, it will not fit in our motorcycle trailer. Oh well, guess it gives me more of an excuse to ride it.

I felt the Same when I started looking for my last year. Feb. 2008 I saw on in a back of a pick up truck as it drove by! I was puzzled as to why in the heck a snowmobile is in Florida then I sped up to look at it was LOVE at First Sight for me so I looked and looked for it, then Demoed ride one, the next thing I was dealing and wheel with the dealer gave my order deposit five months later got my in. Been loving it ever since. Today in Orange Park Florida was BEAUTIFUL day for riding. So Congrats and if you come to Jacksonville hollar we ride together!

Well it's a good thing for hubby I hate shopping. I love the storage though. especially for my frog toggs and my other work essentials. I have also suggested to hubby I need a cup holder for my coffee in the morning. he found a handlebar riser that had all the attachments for radar detector, can't leave home without it, GPS, and cup holder. I have a scooter which I used to do deliveries on. I would hook up my GPS and go on my way. It was great, not to mention the gas mileage, I got to enjoy the open air and my customers loved to see me show up on the scooter. They would start reminiscing about when they were younger. Anyway, hubby can hold all the other essentials on his Goldwing.

I have the same kind of hubby you have - HDX and your hubby would get along just fine LOL! Congrats on your Spyder! What other bike do you have? I feel more comfy on my Spyder than I did on my Harley.

First, welcome and congrats. I actually don't like shopping either but I will admit I have become addicted to spyder mods and I do love shopping for things that go with or for my spyder. By the way, Roaddog is the unofficial founder of the Spydershopping Club

Congrats Joyce! I ask myself the same question when my wife, who is supposed to be the voice of reason in this duo, spoils me, too. I guess we'll just have to get used to it. LOL Now for a new trailer. I had a 7x12 enclosed, and fortunately the Spyder fit just fine. Glad I didn't opt for the six footer.

welcome The fun has just begun!!!! :f_spider: The test drive got me too ;). We also found that we couldn’t get the Spyder and a Harley Ultra Classic in our 7 by 14 + V 6’tall trailer :spyder:. Ended up finding a used 2007, 8 by 18 no V 6 ½ ‘ tall. FYI - we put masking tape down on the floor in the garage and manovered the bikes around in it, then went from there to try and figure out what size trailer we could get by with. A bit smaller would have worked, however we had a trip coming up in a couple of weeks so nabbed the used one. I actually like it on the bigger side – don’t have to be a monkey to get around the bikes when they are tied down.:congrats:

You need something a lot bigger than a m/c trailer to fit the :f_spider: into.:doorag: I had to sell my smaller 4x8 utility and get a bigger 6x10 (and that barely fitted with 6" to spare on all sides).

welcome
