• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I Bought Another One

I decided it is time to get some more two-wheeling time in. Decided I would go back to a Kawi Vulcan 900 LTD. Before the bad hip, that one fit me perfect. Checked out the 2017's, made a list of a few accessories and headed off to see what the dealer had.

Bingo, they had a brand new 2015 sitting on the floor. I made a very good deal and got the accessories to be installed on their dime as an additional pot sweetner.

I am NOT selling either Spyder for now. The 2011 may be up for sale again in a year or so--but I am going to hold off for now.

I know its not real without a picture--so here it is.

Nice ride. I like my 2005 Vstar 1100 Silverado and have kept it too. Similar bikes.

Great machine I bought one for the wife and both of my daughter in-laws. They love them.

Love the 900. I had the custom one. Wished I hadn't sold it. Anyway you can remove the air box and remove the secondary butterfly and create a new beast. Gives it a real kick in the butt.

I also had the Yamaha 650 version. Bought in 2001. I decked it out just like the Silverado--which they instituted as a package the following year.

That looks beautiful, Dwayne!:thumbup::thumbup: Congrats!!

Can't wait to see the real pics.

The only thing missing is me sitting on it. The color is more silver/speckled and looking like the 2011 Magnesium RT. You have to look real hard to see it is silver rather than black. Will try to get a few pictures once I bring it home.

Nice bike. I too used to own a 2003 Yamaha V-Star 650 Silverado, traded it in on my 2009 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom which I still own

Awesome ride. Leaps and bounds ahead of the VStars. We have had both the 650 and the 1100. With the Kawi you get fuel injection, belt drive, liquid cooled. No more having the crappy VStar carbs cleaned evey year. We've had two of the Vulcan 900's. Serious bargain bikes. You get so much for the money and they never break. You will love it, no doubt about it.

D,
:D I am really glad to hear that your hops are feeling so much better that you're able to get back on a "Leaner"! :congrats:

By the way: my last two leaners were a 2000, and and 2002 V-Star 650 Classics. Both were farkled-out to Silverado condition!

Two will do

Well, we sure do a lot of things that are alike. Was one or the other purple?:yes:

:D I always thought that they were a nice basic bike...
They both topped out at less than 90 mph (With a tall windscreen in place!), and that was fine by me! :D

Yes, they were good for basic riding. Mine did not like the Alaska hills. I had to use 2nd gear for a lot of them. I quickly changed over to a Kawi Voyager 1000 shortly after arriving here. I bought the last year of that version of Voyager and think it was 1000cc.
