• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am the luckiest person in the US.

I just got a call from Publishers Clearing House.

Strange, but the man could hardly speak recognizable English. :dontknow:

He asked me if I remembered sending in my contest form. Of course I said. He said I won the grand prize--YESSSSSSSSSSS--the big one. That's $7,000 a week for life. Wooooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooo.

Of course, there was a slight technicality. I had to pay a small fee to claim my prize.

I should have played along further, but alas, I did not. I really could have used the money though.

first let me say congrats. second you should of asked where do you send the money, once you got the address, you send them a box of poop

I got an e-mail that said, "$10.7 million dollars have been placed in my Wells Fargo account!" Guess I am out $10.7 mill because I DON'T have a Wells Fargo account! Rats!! ;)

i have over $200k in checks from nigerian scams. made to hannah montana, idi amin, adolf hitler, miley cyrus, jesse jackson, fred flintstone
& a dozen other stupid names. some of the postal money orders look really really good.

Hey D!
If you have them send your first week's payment to my Nigerian Prince (He's holding 27.5 million dollars of mine, that I inherited from a relative...) He'll release that money to me, and you should get back $2,000!
I'd be willing to split the Millions with you! :D

Alrighty then....

Don't you just love it...:banghead: hope the caller is not on commission...:roflblack::roflblack:

pffff ... i got an email a few weeks ago telling me I had been selected to help secure a bank account for an African prince and all I need to do was open the account for them. I would get over 2million for my troubles.

heck I am moving on easy street any day now!

I would love to see them, how's chances
of you scanning them and posting them here

I got a card once

I got a card in the mail once. Told me I had won of three top prizes. I don't recall them exactly, but it was like $2,000, $5,000 and $100,000. I would cost me like $100, $200 or $500 depending on which prize I wanted to claim.

It came with a return envelope so I wrote on the card I wanted to claim the big prize and they should deduct the processing fee from that prize and just send me the rest. I even offered an extra $500.00 for their troubles. Strange but I never did get my prize and it's be a few years.

IRS scam

Hot one yesterday from the IRS! According to the email, addressed to "taxpayer", I have a huge refund waiting for me! Who knew they made you pay a small fee? They must be hurting! I knew I have been overpaying for years! About time they realized it! The email even had a hyperlink to the IRS!
I did get the Nigerian Prince letter last week. Talk about lucky! I believe I will have the IRS send a check directly to Nigeria! Perfect! 😎

It is amazing that people actually fall for these ongoing scams. A bit of greed, and poof, they got you.

I love to string these guys on. I got the email and all I needed to do was give them my bank account number. Through a series of emails I told them that my bank account was frozen because I was in arrears on fees. But if they could first send me 125 dollars, I could reopen the account and then they could deposit the money.
More emails ensued with me insisting on cash, and them trying to get me to foot the bill.
Finally, they suggested that I give them my charge card number and they would deposit the money in that account so I could withdraw that and pay the bank.
I told them alas and alack, my charge card was suspended for non payment, but if they deposted 500 dollars, the charge account would be reactivated, so they could deposit the money for the bank.
They stopped sending me emails at this point.

 I really like your approach... :firstplace: :2thumbs:

Get them all the time in Spam file. I also get them from the FBI stating I've been placed on the wanted list or some crap like that. I've been on their list for years, they know where I am. Hell, a good friend of mine is a field agent. Wait, is that him sending me those e mails? Ahmed?

I tried a few times to get the agent to meet me in Nome Alaska so that I could give them my part of the funds in person. Did not get any takers. And of course, I was not planning on going to Nome.

Anonymous,
Sadly; they aren't real...
But don't worry; nobody can make you give back the money!
(We don't know who you are... :dontknow:)

Whew, thanks, I was afraid that they might try to take all this money away from me.
