• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I live so close to so many great roads to ryde on. 5 minutes from my house is southern ohio and great roads like 555 664 668 374 and so on. But then you think of all the great roads in the USA and around the world. You have a1a which is very cool and the over seas highway. You have the blue ridge parkway, the Pacific coast highway, the four corners area. So to keep it short what area do you think is the best ryde?

I agree with you

There are almost too many to select just one. But 16A in WY is a great ride I hardly ever hear anyone else refer to.

I haven't found the best road yet and I won't quit trying to find it anytime soon. The roads around Durango Colorado were spectacular.

great rides

We do have some good rides here in south east Ohio.I have rode in 47 of the lower 48 states the last 45 years.I have missed Minnasota some how.Maby this summer.I have to agree with Ann,we were in the Durango area this summer. Some great rides there.I am still looking for the best!

Really..!!!

This is southern California...each one is better than the last. I will tell you when I find it...stay tuned..!! :roflblack::roflblack: but you all enjoy your...

The general consensus seems to be the Three Sisters Loop located in the Hill Country, near Vanderpool, TX. Best experienced in the Spring and Fall, but not to be missed by any avid motorcyclist. If the ride isn't enough, there is some of the best lodging in the area that has designed their business based on motorcyclist's needs. Need more reasons? Some of the best barbeque in the country, and a porifera of motorcycle hangouts. I've ridden the dragon, topped the highest highway in the U.S. on several occasions, and ripped up the pavement on California's 1/101, but just like the smell of hot apple pie and a roaring fire on a cold winter day, the Hill Country always beckons me home, reminding me that this is where my heart is.

Come enjoy Colorado

Colorado has a ton of nice riding roads. My two favorite are the Million Dollar Highway (Hwy 550) and Colorado 145 up past Telluride. There are several roads up west and northwest of Denver that are nice also. Colorado also has 24 Scenic Byways to enjoy.

Best road?

I've been riding 60 years, found a lot of GOOD ones, still looking for the best! But some of my favorites are in southern Indiana.

Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway are in my back yard.....6 miles to the each of them as I am at the start of blueridge and end of skyline drive. I absolutely love this area but this past year started riding more in Western Virginia which also has some amazing roads!

Also check out this website which I have used many times in many states:

Best Road Quest

I've been on Skyline Drive, Blueridge Parkway, NC and Tail of the Dragon, West Virginia, Virginia, Pa, South Dakota, Wyoming, New York, Maryland, Vermont and still looking. So many roads and more to find.:)

You do have some great roads but you have to put up with the nightmare traffic on the rest of your roads to get to the great ones.

From Logan, Ohio

Know the area well since I was raised in Logan. Moved to AZ with the AF in 1967, been here ever since except for a transfer to Athens, Oh from 1980 to 83. I still have a sister who owns the auction house right at 664 as it goes into town.

Try The West

I know this sounds predictable but the Beartooth in Montanna is spectacular!! The elevation is so high your above the tree line, switchbacks all the way up. Here in the state of Washington, among many, is Hwy 410, from Enumclaw up and over Chinook Pass to Yakima. Your passing Mt. Rainier, up close and personal passing thru pristine scenery. Then you have our coast hwy's.........

For Black Bear lovers

Central part of West Virginia the only area we have seen black bears up close and personal while ryding the Spyder.

I have had the good fortune to ride most of the states including AK and HI. Each place presents something beautiful and different and you can always find unique beauty wherever you go. I like mountains, trees, and water, but also like mountains and desert landscapes.

The song "America the Beautiful" says it all for me. Would someone put that up on a post? I cannot seem to transfer songs. Thanks

first motorcycle

I got my first motorcycle march 2011 and put 5000 miles on it in 8 months. I really liked it but did not love it, August 2012 wife and I picked out our black rs se5! 23,000 miles later and lots of great rides.....most of the rides in southern and eastern ohio....pa...vw. .and ky. I just had no clue how beautiful this country is and how lucky I really am! I love to read these great roads people are posting and you can tell how passionate they are for there spiders and there great rides!

Best roads........

.....to avoid! New Jersey Turnpike and Washington, DC beltway; aka the "Suicide Circle". :yikes: Unfortunately I have to get around DC to get to Skyline Drive.
