• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am a new guy with no ryde :-(

Hi I am JoeSpyder and I love this site. I wonder if we could get an "I am new here, Introductions" thread started?? Then we all could introduce ourselves and tell a little bit about ourselves.

I do not have a Spyder Ryde yet, but in a couple of years I intend to have one. Takes time to raise funds when you are retired and handicapped ya know.

Anyway, I live in Roby, Missouri. Roby is just South of Fort Leonard Wood on a very curvy hwy 17 and every weekend I watch with envy as at least 100-150 riders pass by. They ride everything that is legal and probably some things that are not.

Anyway, I hope to learn a lot by being on the site and one day maybe I too can get a Spyder Ryde.

Joe

Hello Joe

Hello Joe,
Welcome. I've hunted on the Fort for many years. Nice area down there as well. Hope you get a machine sooner than later.

I am a new guy too ....

JoeSpyder .... I too am a new guy with no :spyder2: to ryde as of yet .... I am looking at them and intend to purchase one in the near future .... I understand the funds issue as I currently have 2 kids in college ....there goes dads play money .... I am limited by a budget ....but I will have one soon .....

Welcome to you and anyone else looking to become a Spyder owner. I began saving in 2008, and I just got mine last Saturday, so I know how it feels to want one and not have the funds for it. My long wait felt worth it as I rode every day this week and this site is TOTALLY AWESOME for learning all about Spyders and the the folks here have wonderful senses of humor, too! :2thumbs:

Introduction

Hi Joe.

I also have no ryde. YET! I have set a goal of losing another 75 lbs before indulging in a comfortable cruiser. Sights are set for next May/June time frame. For the time being, I'll just continue to lurk and learn.
I have noticed the members to be very helpful and respectful to others on this site. Nice to see:2thumbs:. There are a few:joke: s as well. Makes for a nice balanced area.
I'm a retired 31 year Navy Vet in Victoria, BC and soooo looking forward to "THE DAY". Keep the faith!

Welcome to the new folks! I agree that this is the place to learn about all things Spyder! Good luck in your Spyder hunts and enjoy the site in the mean time.
