• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I’m too old to be that low.

I can’t climb underneath my Spyder, because if I do I can’t get back up:D I have a 2016 Can-Am spider RTSE6. Is there a skid plate underneath it? Thanks so much.

The RT does have a belly pan although I wouldn't call it a skid plate because it does not protect the most vulnerable part of the Tupperware, the underside of the nose. IMO, investing in a real skid plate from Spyderpops or Lamonster Garage is one of the most important farkles to add to your ride asap. Looking at the underside of my skid plate proves it.

Skid Plate

:coffee: No real problem but no protection if you run over something. Some people have installed a 'bump protection attachments'. Not sure if this is what you wanted or not.

Let us know. .....

The first scraping noise you hear will teach you to take all future humps bumps and dips in parking lots and driveways at a slow and angled approach. Don't ask me how I know that. I bought and installed a bump skid and so far it's still in perfect condition. Just wondering if anyone has had to take on an unavoidable obstacle straight on at highway speed and what the experience was and what the results were? I've narrowly avoided chunks of wood rocks and other road debris and never hit one yet (knock on wood). However, the time will come and I was just wondering what to expect. Most comments I've read say that if you have to, put the obstacle under your foot if you can. I understand why but I don't recall reading of any results of damage or loss of control.

A "skid plate", as in 'something that will protect from damage'? Not really. What IS under there is more for aerodynamics and general splash protection.

The other three responders (so far) have all mentioned how vulnerable the nose is when going through dips and gutters because there is so little clearance. Yes, there are items you can add to protect your plastic, but the ironic thing is that they reduce the clearance by 1/4 to 1/2 inch, making it even more likely that you will drag something. The difference is that you will be dragging something that costs a little bit less and is easily changed. :dontknow:

Too bad that bumper is only for RTs. Slingmods has one for F3s, but it's huge and ugly IMO. So I made my own.
