• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I’m 5”6 going to buy F3 Is stock F3 handlebar adjustable?

I just picked up a new F3 Base model yesterday. I'm 5'8" and I'm considering the short reach UFIT bars, but I'm going to install a driver's backrest first to see how things feel. I did turn the bars down, which move them back slightly.

If you are 5"8 and still need short reach, I think I'm (5"6) for sure gonna have to get short reach then .
.

Installed the short reach handlebars today. Took less than 30 minutes and an easy install. The problem I was having was in order to avoid the mirrors being partially blocked by the handlebar controls, I had to rotate the bars down as far as they would go. Doing that caused the controls to bump the tank area and I got a little dent in the plastic. Everything clears the tank area now and no blockage of the mirrors view. It feels more comfortable too as my elbows aren't locking up.

The stock bars have some adjustment to them, it was mentioned before, loosen the 4 bolts and angle the bars down a bit. If that doesn’t work for you you can purchase the “short reach” bars. My wife is 5’ 4” and was having reach problems while turning. We adjusted the bars down for her but that was not enough so we went with the short reach bars to solve the problem.

Hello,
I am considering a 2018 F3 S that has stock handlebars.
Lady rode in with 2017 F3 S with short reach handlebars.
What I difference.
With stock bars I had problems seeing the mirrors with the short reach bars it felt better and was able to see mirrors.
I am a standard 5'9" person.
Try all you can before you buy.

The original bars and the short reach. The original are the shorter ones.

I just installed my new short reach bars and went on a 150 mile ride. They are super easy to install, took about 35 minutes to install (hardest part was getting the bolts loose, man are they tight.), and are really adjustable to how high or how low you want them.
Man, what a difference it made. I have a mustang seat, and I was finally able to sit back and use the backrest! These handle bars are the best comfort improvement I’ve made on my F3 Limited yet!!

I took my bars off temporarily to fit a new mounting bracket and found that the bars had a locating pin preventing their rotation. This was a 2016 F3L so may be different to yours. If it's the same, you may find the only way to adjust the bars would be to grind off this locating pin, or replace the bars with another sort. If you grind off the pin, you may find that the bars will shift sometime in the future - not a good thing...

Why not elongate the holes in the bars ??
