• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hyway Pegs heat issue

I just installed a beautiful set of Lamonster web pegs on my ST. Limited. I got them adjusted to how I want them and went into town for a short ryde to try them out and run some errands. I have one issue. the right side exhaust fan is right by my foot and even in this 70 degree weather, it did not take long and my right leg started getting very hot. Any one else experience this and is there anything I can do to redirect that hot air?
Thanks in advance
Bill

Leg

I have the same problem with my right leg. Figured out it is the hot air going up my pants leg so I got a very small bungie cord
and "bloused" my pants as we use to do in the Army. Turns out that worked for me, now my pants get a little warm but the leg doesn't.

Honestly; what did you THINK would happen? :dontknow:
It's not like folks haven't complained about the heat output from that part of the bike before...
Sorry; I've got nothing on this one, except for some condolences...

Maybe I need a Snickers Bar this morning. :D

Snicker Bar? :trike:

There is a block off plate made for this problem. Also it is rather easy to make a block off plate. If you do block it off, make a couple of holes in the plastic underneath or remove it completely.

COPILOT is right on this one. Had the same problem on my 2013. Read again his post above. (no Snickers required)

Thanks, please post a link of that block plate . Is there a spyderlovers sponsor that sells them?
