• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HURRICANE HARVEY

Not Evacuated -- Safe and Dry Though

Been praying for FlamingoBabe and Hot Glue (Charlynn and Mark) and all the other folks affected by this event.

I saw on FB that they checked in as evacuated and safe.

UPDATE: Here is just one of the pictures from the wedding .... absolutely stunning (IMHO)!

CharWedding.jpg

Charlyne and Mark Baker did not evacuate -- they are on high ground and dry; but cannot go anywhere because all roads around them are flooded. They held their grandson's wedding at the homestead on Friday and caught a break in the weather for the ceremony and some stunning photos. Newlyweds initially headed to Galveston for honeymoon, I think that lasted about half a day and they returned to the Baker homestead. According to Charlyne, still 13 people staying at the house and they are all good ... lot's of love ... a wedding none will ever forget!

All the best .... Ann
