• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How to see just the forums I want?

How can I restrict the messages I see to just those from certain forums? For example, I have an RT, so I'd like to block the non-RT forums (not that I don't like STs and RSs, but I can't contribute much to their discussions.)
 
I'm just guessing here; I don't think that you can block certain forums...
You can block members, and you can subscribe to certains posts, but I think that's about it.
My advice: just don't go into those Sections...
 
If you just go into the ones you want to read and don't hit the new posts button at the top of the page then you will only see posts in those discussions that you like. Problem solved. Have a Nice Day. :)

Other way..just open forums and scroll down to the RT forum you want. There are a couple...:thumbup: They are up to date and those misdirected will be sent there in time....:thumbup:
 
I am not sure what you are asking, but.........

What I do is, I do not go to the forum page or the home page. I just bookmark the forums I'm interested in (Off Topic, Spyder General Discussion, Michigan) and go directly to each that way.

I thought that you had to go to each forum area in order, and respond to each and every post that you see! :roflblack:
 
I usually check my previous posts--just to see how threads I am interested in have progressed from the last look.

Then, go to what's new. This shows threads that have been posted on since my last look. Its then easy to scroll through and find the threads that interest me or not. All forums are represented, but it gives a chronological view of postings.
