I know this thread is kinda old, but did anyone replace them with the Kickers? Also noticed that Polk has a new MM line (although they dont have the 4" for the rear) as well.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Replacement of front speakers
I'm not much of a mechanic but I bought the DXI 5.25 front speakers. I poped the front grill and was trying to figure out how to unscrew and pull out the current speakers through the grill whole or do I need to disassemble more of the front panel to get the speakers out and put the new ones in? I tried copying and pasting the link that sofer posted. I can't get it to work. Could somebody help me and give me some advice on how to install the front speakers I would really appreciate it.:dontknow:

Don't want to make like an expert, but I just installed rear speakers in the RT
I was nervious having read the thread and seen the video over the winter. Jumped in and it was pretty easy with one little trick that worked for me. When seperating the inner and outer parts of the arm rests, look into the slots that the hooks fit in to, there is a tiny tab (1/8" tall triangle) of plastic (factory must use it to speed assembly) it is going to break off to slide the hooks out of the slots anyway so slip a flat blade screw driver in and snap it off. whole thing now easily slides apart and together.

Ref my ealier post Re -I am thinking of fitting Kicker PS5250 5-1/4" 2-Way Motorcycle Speakers
The only dealer in the UK did not have them in stock and it looked like he would not be having anymore in, So I never went down that road
I had changed my OEM Ones for Marine type Speakers - Front only - Concerned ref weather protection
Found the sound distorted once above Half Volume
Was going to change back to the Stock OEM Ones as they at least did give a better sound at a higher volume
But came across the J&M Audio upgrade Speakers for the Spyder RT
Got mine from Custom Dynamics - Were on offer at a lower price than J&M Direct at the time and I was able to support a SpderLovers vendor
as well
Order them a few months ago and fitted them - Very impressed with the quality and the Sound esp at the Higher volumes (Needed if using
Speakers on the Highway)
I fitted a complete set Front and Rear and are very happy with them
I have also fitted a Bluetooth transmitter which allows me to switch the Speakers off and direct the sound to my Sena SMH10 Headset
Having looked at varouis audio systems J&M do have a great deal of experience in the Motorcycle Audio field - It was for this reason I went
with them
