• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HOW TO GET TUNES IN MY HELMET?

I have a 2011 :spyder2: RT-S, and I want to get tunes into my helmet. Don't need to talk to anyone, just want the same stuff that I now get through the stock speakers. A wired setup would work, but bluetooth would be better. Since there are 4 speakers, I haven't been able to figure out where to tap into the stock wiring. Can someone help me out?

This is probably not what you want but I have a scal rider G4 that has a built in fm radio and also bluetooths to your phone. SO if you have your music on your phone or a radio on there that you like to listen to you can do that. I love it by the way.

 I just listen to the voices... :roflblack:

If you can dig down into the wiring far enough, you should find a pair of wires running to each speaker. Just couple them up front to rear (color coding counts!), and then tie them into your ear speakers... left and right!

In new to all this... is it wireless?

I have a Chatterbox and for talking on the phone .. engh its ok sorta . If you speak LOUDLY . but as far as just streaming music from like an ipod or something like that via blue tooth I love it , forf me thats really the only reason I have it . But im sure all the ones suggested above work jsut the same LOL

At this time, I would only care about communication rider to passenger, and maybe MP3 music (depending on the factory audio on the RT). As far as phone, this :spyder2: is for us to GET AWAY. If I want my kids calling me asking what they can eat for lunch, I have bluetooth in the car :) No phone capabilities will be a good excuse to force them to think for themselves.

The Scala rider G4 offers both Passenger communication and can use a phone if bluetoothed. As previously stated I really like mine.

This is how I managed to get the Radio output from my Spyder RT-S SE5 2010 Model to my Headset

This was posted sometime ago but the Autocom/Starcom Parts are still available but they may have changed he part no's
They list the items as to allow you to connect Car Type spearkers (for that read Can-Am Spyder on board speakers) to their system

I used an Autocom Part No 2275 -Which connects to the speaker leads of the Can-Am speakers
The rear speaker leads are easier to get to on the RT
This allows you to switch the Radio/Ipod output to the 3.5mm lead supplied on Part No 2275
This is a Male 3.5mm Plug - I then used a Male to Male 3.5mm Connector and on the other end of the connector
I plugged in a SONY Bluetooth transmitter Sony TMR-BT10 - This is just paired to my Sena SMH-10 Headset
You should be able to pair this to the Cardo Scala system in the same way

The switch allows you to do the following - 1 - Output to Can-Am Speakers
2 - Output off to both On Board Speakers/Headset
3 - Output to Helmet via Bluetooth transmitter to My Sena SMH10 Helmet speakers

If you can't get Autocom products Try Starcom the part no's required to acheive the same system is
SWT-01 and MUS-01 -You will still need a Bluetooth transmitter and I recommend the Sony TMR-BT10

Hope this is helpful
