• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How to Clean a Dirty Dash Panel

Raprider

New member
Somehow have some liquid staining behind the plastic on my dash...right side on the tach from 3-6 and left side on the speedo next to 60-100.
I removed the torx screws on the panel surround, but this doesn't allow me to just remove the plastic panel to clean the back of it.
What else do I need to remove???

Thanks!
Rap

p.s. Yes, i finally clicked 3k miles on Blackbird yesterday...:) Thanks, groundhog :roflblack:

Not sure about the ST but on my 2015 RT it was a common problem with the staining on the plastic glass over the tach and speedo.BRP replaced it under warrenty.

This picturedashboard on spyder14RT 003.jpg might help you:

I have a 2014RTS-SE6.

The above picture was part of the process to paint the dashboard( seen in any of my threads, or posts).

U can try removing the whole cluster (described in manual for changing headlights) the clear lense is not supposed to remove however, if you have a leak maybe you can find it & suck the water out somehow, or warranty claim:dontknow:

Nice! If only uncle Bob (as mentioned in the video) would perform the multi-panel removal required to clean up something that isn't supposed to happen in the first place...

Just following up on this...since it was nice enuf today to spend some quality time in the garage.
Watched the vid and went out and tackled this...and very pleased with the results.
And then took 'er out for 40 :) Yay spring!!!
