• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How similar were the rss and rt models in 2012?

Just wondering, if you had access to take off parts, how hard would it be to put the RT side floorboard panels on a RSS I assume in 2012 they used the same frame for all models, so im going to guess the mounting holes are there on the RSS frame. Ive seen two metal support brackets for the passenger pegs, i guess youd have to see what else is needed on the part diagrams.

Not......except for the motor

Little checking..!!

if you go to..cheapcyclepart.com...you can see the parts catalogs and check to see if they have the same parts. If the whole frame is the same part number the parts will be interchangeable if not there may be some tabs in different places...

In 2012; the two models were using different engines...
The front suspensions and wheels were (and are still) different...
Gene is right...
If you go to the 2012 BRP parts catalogs; look up the frames...
That'll tell you an awful lot!

Looks like the frames are the same..
ow it would probably be cheaper to go aftermarket than to buy take df parts but its just a thought i had after seeing most of the needed parts on ebay.

I think that the rear shock mount is different...
(My old RT frame got grabbed by an RS pilot, with an eye toward adding the RT's shock to his ride...)

It sounds as if you've got an ambitious WinterTime project lined-up! :D
