• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How old were you when you bought your spyder? what are your thoughts on it?

I was 38 and love my :spyder2: I ride it like I just stole it. :gaah:

TROOPER - TROOPER - TROOPER!! I bet you do Brother! The SE5 is heck of a box aint it? You can shift it like an F1 car! I'm back to grabbin my own gears now that I'm on 14, but I'm diggin it big time! :2thumbs: I can't wait for post-break-in so I can stretch her legs...

I will be 66 in Oct of this year.. bought mine last week, so 65.7? But I have been riding (2 wheels) since I was 14.

:hun:- I must have missed this thread when it first posted...

I was 52 when I got my :spyder: July '09.
I always use this :spyder: symbol because my :spyder: is yellow and the way it moves side to side reminds me of my DPS,GPS, SAS, VSS issues last winter:shocked: :gaah::roflblack:

But I love to ryde it. I never owned a motorcycle before, but when I saw the :spyder2: (a phantom- not my :spyder:) I spent about a month researching it and purchased without ever ryding it. In fact it was trailered to my door from Jacksonville.

I enjoy life a lot more when I get to ryde my :spyder:.

Well my wife had been thru 5 bikes before she wanted to go look at these things, she is _, and a short story we brought one home. I drove the thing home and said damn this thing is fun so i went back the next day and bought one too. I am 50, been riding two wheels since 1978, and still own several. It is fun to ride.

I was 50 in March of '08 when I brought :spyder: home from FL. I turned 51 three weeks later. At 53 now after 28 + months and 28,000 + miles, I'm averaging around 1000 miles per month. I agree with Spyderwolf, I,m 47 in Spyder years. If I keep ryding long enough I will keep getting younger and know then what I know now.
I'll probably buy another :spyder:. Ryde On:doorag:

Got my RT-S yesterday, at age 60. Really wouldn't be appropriate to take a firm position so soon, but the Wife already likes it better than the Electra Glide it replaced. So I can always say...:shemademe_smilie:

41 when I bought my 2010 RTS back in April. Never rode a two wheel motorcycle in my life and this is a great way to get started. Really loving ryding the open road with all the bugs smashing into me! Thank goodness for the helmet! :2thumbs:

60 years young!!! and you can't wipe the grin off my face!!! I love it! I've ridden behind my husband for 16 years, we've been to the lower 48 states 2 times and just lack 13 states to have been around 3 times. all Canadaian Pro. except Newfoundland & Prince Edwards Island. I love the Spyder!!!!

42 and thought its crazy to pay 5 digits for any bikes but decided to lowball the guy anyway .... guess it worked and with many smiling miles to come.:f_spider:

67 when I bought my RS a year and a half ago. I've had a few two wheelers over the years, still own three of them that sit in the machine shed. I got tired of finding a solid place for the kickstand, trying to maintain balance at stop signs, on gravel roads, slow corners, uneven ground etc. I bought the RTS in March of this year and have 6 thousand on it so far. It is as quick, fast and comfortable as I want, right now. I told them at the dealership, that this would probably be the last bike that thay would sell me, because it had everything I've ever wanted on a bike.
Just my opinion and reasons.:D

Hey Seth.............63 years old when I bought it in November '09:2thumbs:. Now I'm 64 going on 21.............didn't know that you could have so much fun on three wheels. This is my first bike and I don't have to worry about balance or leaning into curves, etc.:lecturef_smilie:. I'm only riding in the good weather, too hot when it's in the upper 90's like it has been most of this summer, but looking forward:ohyea: to the fall when we will be going on longer trips.

65.11 when I bought mine 04/10. Had a Harley for 5 years but sold it in 11/08. Thought I wouldn't ride again but then this ad for the Spyder came on tv. Who says advertising doesn't work. Wife and I love our :spyder2:

Hi Seth,
Just got my RT-S a couple of months ago at 71. Traded my Virago 1100 for a remodeled bathroom. Took my first mini trip this week, 450 miles, Great road bike.

I can't keep from getting older but I plan on being irresponsible for the rest of my days,
