• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Much Rise??

Well I think I probably need risers on my Spyder as I feel myself leaning forward to much when I ride. My back starts to hurt from being bent after a while. My question is how to you know what the rise should be, is there a way to tell?? I'm 5' 11" and I'm sure I need to raise up the bars, but too little won't make a differnce, and to much might make things worse in other areas. Anyone have any suggestions???

If you don't have the BRP riser kit installed you can use the 3 inch or 4 inch design if you wish.

However we found the height that the 4 inch kit makes on a bike without the BRP kit seems to be the best and still allow the use of the stock cables.

Although the 3 inch kit will work on your bike, I think the 4 inch kit will give you a more comfortable ride. We have found even 1 inch can make a big differance in something like this.

Try this; sit in a comfortable position on your Spyder, close your eyes and reach for where the bars should be. Measure from there to where they are; gives you an idea of how much rise/pullback you need. Got this from a bike mag years ago, and it's always worked for me.

Thanks, I will try that!!

The nice thing about the NMN riser kit is you can adjust it somewhat. For me, it wasn't just rise that I wanted but I wanted the bars closer to me so when I installed them, I angled them closer to my body. This prevents so much forward lean and even allows me to lean back some and relax and still reach my handlebars. That is how I figured it out was while riding, I sat in the position I wanted to be in and figured out how far I had to reach to have my hands where I wanted them and that is how I set my bars.

Contact NMN, they are the best with great service!! I have emailed and called them over different questions and they always had an answer quickly.(and it was the correct answer) I have their 4 inch riser and i am 6 foot, it seems to be perfect with lots of room for personal adjustment. Make sure you tell them to send the smooth head 8mm allen bolts. They had sent some that were not, and they don't work without sanding them down. This is just an extra step that should not be.
