• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many Spyders over 100,000 miles with original motor?

I can't believe that anyone would want you to leave any place! Congrats on the mileage. Come on out to Las Vegas for a visit and you'll be at 100,000 in no time.

Thank you for saying that Ann, that was very nice of you!! Congrats to you on your new 2014 RT:clap:, when do you expect delivery on it. BRP really answered a lot of the problems of previous years and granted some wishes for the RT as well. The very best of luck to you on this one!

How would they know that information? There are only a handful of Spyders that have reached 100,000 miles thus far. BRP doesn't track your mileage...they have no way of knowing when 100K clicks over. It is not like they ask us our mileage yearly.

I'm going to guess that mileage is noted as one of the things done when performing maintenance on a spyder, if each customers spyder has a maintenance record, all BRP would have to do is collect the data from their dealers service depts and compile it.

Some dealers do, some dealers don't. In addition some owners do their own maintenance, so their Spyders never see the shop. Replacement of a cluster resets the mileage to zero, so that adds another wrinkle. Even if BRP could collect and compile the data, it would be incomplete and faulty. Don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. :D

As I am approaching 93,000 miles on my Spyder I got to wondering how many people have seen over 100,000 miles on their Spyder with the original motor? Lamont told me at Spyderquest that I was one of the only ones he knows of with that many miles on the original motor, which kind of surprised me. He also told me I might want to think about looking up a low mile used motor so I would be ready when mine goes south. So please chime in if you have over 100,000 on your Spyder or know of someone with that many miles with the original motor.

Sorry Doc, I know you have over 200,000 on yours but with at least 3 motors! Just sayin.........

He said........... "Just sayin'............"

Just sayin'............
