• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tired again!

Now on to the hard job; working with rebellious 13 year old grandson on homework to try to keep him from failing the 7th grade. This could be my biggest challenge, but failure is not an option!

I knew I recognized you......Shangri-las??? Right???

Good looking women that want to ride on the Spyder are very numerous. Unfortunately my wife carries a handgun legally in all 50 states AND she still shoots 300.

Retired LEO. Local town that I grew up in. :yikes: PIA to write tickets. Damn near everyone I pulled over knew me. :roflblack: Tom :spyder:

COPS

Who the hell is protecting us out there, it seems like all the old cops are riding Spyders.

:agree:......Well Joe, I always thought we tended to see things others didn't :yikes:   ........Mike

US Navy 7 yrs,5 months, 24 days, 2 hours. Survived the USS Forrestal fire in 1967. Suburban Police Officer 24 years, 3 months. Bodyguard 13 years 2 months. Retired Dec 2007. Another 3 1/2 years caring for my elderly mother(Alzheimers). Finally retired for good in Dec 2011.

Phase 1 retired...

Did my 27 years, 7 months, and 22 days with the USAF and retired 1 Jun of 2012. I went back to work for the same command (after a 3 month break) to finish an initiative for service members I really believe in. Once that's done, it'll be full-time retirement...:)

New to the three-wheel world...just purchased my 2014 RTS after my doc said I wouldn't be riding two-up for at least a year (had to have 'unexpected' open heart surgery) which meant I wouldn't be riding at all (the wife loves to ride). So we test rode a Spyder and although the ride is different...it completely sold us on making the switch! :spyder2:

The clock is ticking on the Phase 2 retirement plan...if all goes well it should happen no later than August 2017!

As I read this thread, I was wondering the same thing. That and all the military folks too. Guess I'll throw my deal in the mix. Retired military and retired State Trooper. Keeping busy caring for my wife and running my kayak fishing charter business. One employee, me--one boss, me.

8 years 3 mo 4 days in USAF 1956 - 1965. Worked in construction as estimator till 1978 then full time care giver till 2010. Moved to Oregon and am riding either my Roadglide or Spyder on the great roads.

Now that's funny. :joke: They were an all girls group that recorded "Leader of the Pack". I wonder where they are now?

Semi-retired in 2012 after 50 years working as a machinist and machine shop owner.Work Mondays only and wouldn't do that except my wife has to go in and do the payroll ,pay the bills ,etc.(Anyone want to buy a 12 man machine shop)
Like to ride my Spyder 30-100 miles every day ,working my way up to be able to do the 3-sisters in the Texas hill country soon.

Retired in 2001 after 34 years in engine design at Deere. Had one weak moment a year later when I went back on contract for 7 months. We found out that we could ryde all year round by spending winters in AZ and summers in IA. Been enjoying Lyfe ever since. Will be heading back to IA via Spyderfest.

Retired from the US Air Force in 1984 after 20 years, 2 months, 15 days; retired in 2005 from DOD Civil Service after 20 years, 1 month, 15 days; 18 months in between working for Boeing as a flight mechanic (those people are crazy and expect you to work 10-12 hours a day 7 days a week). Retirement is the best job except the pay is not the best.
