• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Many Spyder Miles This Season?

We are officially done riding for 2015 now. I put mine up on 11/2 with our first dose of black ice/snow. The process was reinforced again Sunday/Monday. Earlier "sleep time" this year. 11/2 vs. 11/13 last year (our latest since 2010).

Linda put 5,486 miles on her 2011 RT riding weekends only. Her best seasonal mileage since she began riding :spyder2: in 2011. :firstplace::firstplace:

I managed 11,871 miles this year, (10,972 on my 2014 and 899 on Linda's). I test drive hers every week before our weekend rides. Plus it's nice to get on board a 998 once in awhile. I would have liked to do more, but was able to ride most every day during the week on my 50 plus mile--pick up the mail runs.

A great riding year for us and we got to share with the NtA group that came and visited in July. An experience that we will cherish for years.

Switching back and forth between the bikes: what are your impressions of the differences (and similarities)?

The big picture--Fun, Fun, Fun.:yes:

Since both are currently RT's, The ride is pretty much the same. The big difference is the engines.

The 998 is louder, the pickup a bit more zippy (the shift points 5000 - 5500 for me). Five gears, instead of six, so I have to put the right "hat" on when I am on one or the other.

The 1330 is more quiet, smooth, and less tiring for me (because of the lack of noise?). I like the new Comfort Seat better than the one on the 2011. No pain for me, and I can ride without the aid of the AirHawk or sheepskin gel pads 98% of the time.

This may all change if the F3 LTD deal is consummated in the spring. F3 will replace the 2011 RT A&C and Linda will get the 2014 1330. She has yet to ride it because she did not want to get spoiled. She is going to like the 2014 a lot. I have yet to ride an F3--so the test ride will be very telling. I am thinking a different ride than I am used to.

Ahhh... The F-3 Limited!
Have you had a chance to sit on an F-3 that is equipped with the adjustable bars, and moveable footpegs?
If you haven't; take your time, and make sure that you've got your feet and hands set in the right places!
It'll make all of the difference! nojoke

I only made about 200 miles this season. I bought it on Halloween and got about maybe 2 weeks worth of seat time driving to and from work. NEXT season though watch out!!!
