• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

how many bars?

Put some masking tape over the gauge, twist the grip and go. :yikes:

If it goes into limp mode you have a problem that needs to fixed, but I would bet you will never have a problem.

As OCD as this as I am , That is the BEST suggestion. Im anywhere from 3 to 6 bars . If your in there dont sweat it

I have a manual fan switch on both of my Spyders. When I am approaching a traffic jam, or slow in-town traffic, I turn the fan on to get a head start on cooling. This helps, but it also gives me some psychological comfort (most important part). My RT cools better than my GS/RS, but neither one presents a problem. The cooling thing is mostly in the head.

If you want additional reassurance, ask your dealer to print out the BUDS report on your engine. It will show the maximum temperature your coolant has experienced, along with a lot of other interesting things.

At the other end of the spectrum, in the winter in S FL., on the highway, mine will frequently go down to 2 bars at 70 MPH in 50 degree weather, this seems like not even up to operating temp?

Since I put block offs around the radiator to force all the air thru it, In temps around 50-70 cruising at 50-60 I usually have 2 bars as well. I also noticed that my rs runs cooler with the 2 Brother's dual cans than my wife's bone stock spyder. Even when I had my custom air box on it ran even cooler still. I have noticed that these machines run MUCH better when cool. Just my own personal experience.:coffee:
