• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. How many 2 or more spyders in the family

Johnnyg and I were talking over how many 2:spyder2: families or more there seems to be poping up this year since the 2010 RT came out. So our question is How many are there really? When did you became a 2 :spyder2: family or more. What kind of :f_spider: do you have and what made you decide to become :spyder2: family?

1. We will start by saying we bought our RT SE5 orbit blue first in May 2010. Then I drove it around the yard a few times and decide to get my license and that was all it took for me to want my own :f_spider:. I liked the RS, so that is what I ended up buying, May 2011 ( 2011 RS SE5 Pearl white) The RT has 19,000 miles and I have 2,300 miles on the RS so far.
We went with the scalarider G4 power set with bluetooth compatibility for communication and it works out great, so we can talk for up to 1 mile apart.
Thats our story. CJ

Currently there is a 2011 RTSE parked in our garage, and a 2008 RS in the driveway. The 2011 is my wife's, and the 2008 is our daughter's. She is not riding now due to a pregnancy. They are both kind of in the family. Oh yeah, I ride a 2005 Goldwing.

We are a :spyder2::spyder2: family. I drove her bike home from the dealership and went back 3 days later and bought my own. We both had been on 2 wheels and i still have some 2 wheels. but we love ridin the spyder and really the people we meet on them, seems like everyone we have meet so far has been very nice and respectfully and helpful.
This forum is very helpfully and LAMONT has done a great job.

2 Spyder Family

Bought my pure mag. metallic 2011 RT-S SE5 March 21, 2011. Husband rode it when I was working and fell in love. Said he never could believe that he would be interested in a bike at his age (57 - btw, I'm 56). Velocity Powersports was having a 4th of July shindig last sat and he bought a white 2011 RS SE5 and picked it up tues. He has already started ordering mods - 4.5 in risers, kewlmetal fenderz, touring windshield. :D

First RT SE came on board in July 2010 when my wife rode one for the first time and traded in her Suzuki 650 trike on one.

Last month I traded my GL 1800 trike in on a 2011 RT SM to put two in the garage.

She now has 11,000 miles on hers and I have 2,100.

Love 'em both.

Feb. 2010 wife got stuck at the dealers to handlebars and hand wouldnt come undone till the sold sign went on. Silver and Black, 13000 miles. I got mine in Aug. 2010, Pearl white. Has 9000 miles on it. I am ryding faster than her so mileage is catching up. We also have a Honda 1312 stateline, hers and A Honda Fury, mine. So we have the best of both worlds but the Spyders are my favorite.:coffee:

Nancy bought her Spyder GS in March of 2008. I swiped it every chance I got, and pre-ordered a 2010 RTS as soon as they were announced in late 2009. I took delivery in December of 2009. I traded that for a 2011 RTS, and took delivery of the Rouge Rocket in March of this year. I bought the matchin RT-622 trailer a couple of months later. Best of both worlds...a Spyder for each of us, and one of each model so we can ride whichever fits our whims of the moment.

Yes

Wife got hers in September 2008 and I bought mine a week later AFTER I found out she did not want to share SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is only 5 vin numbers between our two red/black Spyders. Have over 21000 miles so far.

Bought my 2009 SE5 new in September 2009. 1 month later bought my wife's 2009 SE5 from a member on this forum. Haven't looked back since. :D

My son and I have '09 RS:spyder2: purchased at the same time new in 2010. His is red and black mine silver and black. I've been riding two wheelers for 35 years he is new to motorcycles. It has been a great experience to be able to share such a fun sport with my son and we took our first longish ride together last month to the BRP rally and had a great time. Met lots of good folks too!

I know what you mean. Its nice have both kinds. Johnnyg rides the RS once in a while when I'm not around. He says it will get him into trouble:roflblack::roflblack:

My wife has a 2011 RT-SE5 in Vyper Red and I have the RS-SE5 in Magnesium Grey & Black. We saw her red one partially assembled and had to have it, then went back the next day to add my RS to the family.

These are our first bikes, I have ridden lots of off-road stuff, from 2-6 wheels. She has never been on a bike before. We are both loving them.

Just went for a Saturday trip with a Spyder Ryder Group here in the Austin Texas Area. Had about 12 Spyders cruising together. Talk about getting some attention!:yikes:
