The subject has been discussed a few times over the years. The number that comes up mostly is the 110 - 115 miles per hour range. This information based on what people read from their speedometers while tooling down the highway.
There are a few that have documented speeds--as in from racetrack tryouts. They will probably show up.
Me?--90 - 95 maybe once. Have not tried the limits. The 225--that's in the ball park in you have your speedo set to KPH. I used that feature while driving in Canada--makes it easier to follow the speed limit signs. 62 MPH is equal to 100 KPH. I did 120 when in Canada a couple times.
A good trick to play on a novice rider. Put in in KPH and go for a ride on the highway at about 70. It will show up on the speedo as plus 100. That usually gets their attention. :roflblack:
In my previous life I used to travel to Canada for work and always loved doing it.
On the bridge crossing over I would change to KPH, this was great because I could legally drive much faster than I could in the USA almost twice as fast, 100 vs. 65.
The other pleasure was the fact that the fuel was much less expensive, about $1.27 or so vs. $2.50. That was awesome.
I could drive almost twice as fast and fuel was almost 1/2 price.
Now, before you say ANYTHING, I live in my own little world, don't ruin it for me! :roflblack:
