• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How fast have you driven you Spyder and under what conditions?

Around 95MPH on the freeway in Oakland getting away from a crazy lady in a Grand Am. Got close again to that on the freeway by my house just for the heck of it.

if i do 110-120 mph it really gets hot (5-6bars) - but never overheated ..
in the rain is no problem to do 100-110 on the "autobahn" - feel absolut secure with all the nannys

Probably been faster on it... but GPS shows max speed logged so far at 93MPH... I know that was recorded while riding with Doc.

114 mph on the gps. Probably 120 on the speedo but who had time to look. Death valley at about 3000 foot elevation going up hill and fully loaded on a cool day.

110 just for fun, still climbing, ran out of room. Would love to go for more but 30 over is a trip to the slammer around here, not worth the risk for me.

Had just installed a new windshield, took it for a putt to check it out. south on I-65 noticed how much less wind/noise, etc, settled in and just got where it felt comfortable--105mph, pay more attention to speedometer now:shocked:.

Around 95 just to see what the ryde was like. Had to slow down so Hubby could catch up. (No windshield.)

We were on a highway with light traffic.

Uphill? Both ways in the snow, barefoot. I used to live in Death Valley.

111 for me. Very stable except the numbers. Went around 3 semi's at 100+ in seconds yesterday after following them for 15 mi. @ 60 mph on a 2 lane road with no passing lane till it opened up to a 4 lane. Love that power!

In 2009 more than 34 million people in the U.S. receive speeding tickets, according to the National Motorists Association. Federal and state studies have consistently shown that the drivers most likely to get into accidents in traffic are those traveling significantly below the average speed. According to an Institute of Transportation Engineers Study, those driving 10 mph slower than the prevailing speed are six times as likely to be involved in an accident. That means that if the average speed on an interstate is 70 mph, the person traveling at 60 mph is far more likely to be involved in an accident than someone going 70 or even 80 mph. Research conducted by the Florida Department of Transportation showed that the percentage of accidents actually caused by speeding is very low, 2.2 percent.

Over 100 playing on the northern part of Route 8 before the highway part turns into a country highway. It's a huge straight away w/ hardly any traffic up there.

Ridden in the pouring rain also but I don't speed when I do that.

111mph and that was pulling a trailer going through New Mexico on the way the the BRP event in LA. I would love to get out in the wide open again with a smaller windshield and no trailer and a guarantee of no ticket and really let her go. I know I would love the feeling of topping out my spyder.

I've had mine up to 122 and held it there until my exit came up:gaah:, the sport bike that was running next to me was surprised I think. I still had throttle left even at that speed.

Hey was that on the way to Lamonts BBQ. Doc (or his friend- can't remember the name) said we never went over 85:shocked: :roflblack:

My top was 99mph down to JAX on I95. Beautiful sunny day last November.
