I could set you up - she's not talking to me right now.:2thumbs::lecturef_smilie:
You didn't miss it, it didn't say it was or wasn't. You didn't ask if the 183 was photoshopped.
Just for the record do you think that was real, photoshopped or maybe a GPS error? :dontknow:
That's two of us....:gaah::joke:... she's not talking to me right now.:2thumbs::lecturef_smilie:

There is no governor, just the rev limiter. You probably hit the point where drag (wind and road resistance) overcomes the horsepower. It can feel quite sudden sometimes. It also depends on the direction and speed of the wind, and the height of your windshield. If at first you don't succeed...114ish on I-84 in Pennsylvania mountains. 60 degrees and clear and sunny.
I still had throttle and RPM's to go, but felt like a governor was holding me back. Surprise to see the 120-130 reports here. Thought I found the top end. I guess I will have to try harder next time.![]()

I suspect that the Spyder's Terminal Velocity is greater than 183mph but even the steepest straightaway in America long enough to do you any good wouldn't help you out by pulling in the clutch. Pull in the clutch at any speed over 100mph and you will slow down quickly because of the amount of air our Spyder pushes.
Somewhat slower than my fastest Spyder speed due to certain variables, but I did 107 at 16 degrees F this morning.
Ride on.
