How does this Seat Strut that came with an Ultimate Seat work?

Received a seat strut for my 2014 RT limited with Ultimate Seat. The one I got has a ball joint on one end and eye joint on other end and is shorter.
Can't figure out how this works.

I had Ultimate install my seat on a 2014 RT. Reach out to Ultimate seats they'll be more than helpful.

Sounds to me you're missing a bracket somewhere, because in most cases there's two ball brackets; one on the seat, one on the bike, and the ram just snaps onto the ball ends. Sounds like you should have a C clip there somewhere, like under the seat, to hook into!

I have a 2014 with an Ultimate Seat. The only difference in the mount is the seat has an L bracket for the end attached to the seat. I replaced my stock shock with a Show Chrome shock. I don’t recall but I may have used the C clamp from the stock shock.
