• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How does this fitting work

The attached picture is the fitting where the fuel line is attached to the gas tank. It is supposed to be a quick connect fitting. Does anyone know how this think works? I need to disconnect the line from the tank.

These high pressure fittings take a special tool. Not sure if they are the same as the automotive ones, but try your local auto parts store.

I figured it out! No tool needed.

I wanted to check this fitting in light of the posts on here about it leaking. My gas tank had dirt accumulated in spots where it looked like some type of oily substance had caught dirt. The attached picture shows where a small tab is located. I pulled the tab out of its notch and the fitting came loose so that I could pull it off. What I also noticed was that a wire tie went around the fuel line and a cable. That tie was holding the fitting at a slight angle, so I cut the tie and squared it up. I then replaced the wire tie so that the fitting remained square. I don't know whether it had been leaking or not. But, I fired up the engine and ran it for a while with a paper towel under the fitting. There is no fuel leaking while running or when the engine shuts off. I am satisfied that it is ok and not leaking. I just wanted to check it. I just thought I'd pass this along.
