• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you know when your tank is low on fuel?

To tell the truth i'm guessing when to add gas to my tank, because the gauge never change on my bike.

Switch to autonomy mode. It shows how many miles to empty. That is the most accurate.

Best way! I switch to Autonomy after I fill up on the way home a few miles from the house and I normally get 128-130 so I must Not be filling it all the way which is fine with me because All my afternoon rides are about 85-110 miles.

You are very low when the engine sputters and/or dies, but don't test it! Running an FI dry is hard on things.

That is no where near accurate.

On the Ryker, the golden rule is set your trip meter and fuel up at 140 miles.

My fuel gauge works but shows full until I get about 75 to 85 miles on a full tank. After that the bars start going down. I usually try to fuel up around 125 to 130 miles just to be safe. Like some of the others I reset the trip meter at each fill up.

If you ride a lot of local stuff, play with it and set your trip meter and ride it until the light comes on, check the mileage and go gas it up! Then you can use that as your set point and know when you have to start hunting down a gas station on a long cruise!! Good luck!

...There's a light ?..:opps:

Miles to empty depends a lot on how full you get the tank. It's difficult to get the tank truly full. But on long trips, it's worth the extra effort.

I only said it was the MOST accurate. Your method requires making sure the tank is truly topped off, which requires pulling the nozzle out until gas almost spills out of the tank. Then the trip odometer needs to be reset as well. Many people don't want the hassle. They want to gas and go.

The autonomy setting has reliably shown when the tank is getting low. When it shows 20 to 30 miles left, fill the tank.
