• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

The channels can not be erased. You can however overwrite them to a new channel. This process is the same as if the channel was empty already. Just select the channel you want. Then select eh preset # you would like it to be on and set. You are ready to go! IF you have any questions feel free to contact us at Route 1 Motorsports and we will be glad to help you further!

OK none of that stuff will work if the preset your trying to reprogram is sending data.

Here is why:

One of the problems with over writing a preset is if that station that is on that preset is sending station, artist, title type information. You know this as you will see it on the console like the station name, song name, etc will show up with the number. What happens if a station is doing that is when you get to it and press up "to set the preset" that info comes in and the radio jumps to the next open preset! If all the presets are taken it jumps to the #1 preset. This makes it almost impossible to over write a preset like that. Some stations don't transmit this info and those are easy to over write. This is a bug in the software of the radio. FYI radio is made by Radio Sound not BRP.

So if your REAL FAST about it you can do it especially the first say 5 presets and the last 5 (scrolling backwards with the left button). The ones that get pretty impossible are the middle set like 6-9, you just cant seem to be fast enough to get ahead of the broadcasted station information change!

But I found a way to do it... The easiest way is to just clear all the presets and start over. But you can do just the ones you want using option 2 below..

Easy way to start over and erase all presets:
1) First find a station number that has all static e.g. nothing is on it. Write it down. Usually something like 88.7 will work. At least for me it is empty.
2) In the radio settings change the "band" from A (US) to B. Reboot the bike. You MUST reboot the bike for this band change to work! Now the radio will not pick up ANY signals! You will get NOTHING but static. This is what we want.
1) Go into ALL the presets and set them to the static station number you wrote down above.
2) Go into radio settings again and set the "band" back to A.
3) Reboot the Spyder again. Again you MUST do this for the band change to work!
4) Now you can go in and set every preset to what you want.

Alternate way to change just one or a few presets.
1) First find a station number that has all static e.g. nothing is on it. Write it down. Usually something like 88.7 will work. At least for me it is empty.
2) Write down the preset NUMBER that shows on the dash you want to change. e.g. like 8 or 11, etc...
3) In the radio settings change the "band" from A (US) to B. Reboot the bike. You MUST reboot the bike for this band change to work! Now the radio will not pick up ANY signals! You will get NOTHING but static. This is what we want.
4) Now go to the preset number you wrote down in step 2 and set it to the blank static station you wrote down in step 1. Repeat for other presets you wanted to change and wrote down in step 2.
2) Go into radio settings again and set the "band" back to A.
3) Reboot the Spyder again. Again you MUST do this for the band change to work!
4) Now you can go in and set the preset numbers you just reset and set them to what you want.

Enjoy,
Bob
