• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do I edit my signature?

Top right corner of the screen, click on 'Settings', which is just to the Right of 'My Profile' & to the Left of 'Log Out'. ;)

Once the screen comes up, look down the left hand side for the block labelled 'My Settings' - in that you should find 'Edit Signature' (about 5 lines down??) Click on that; edit your signature as required; then hit 'Save Signature' in the bottom right corner. You may hafta log out & then log back in again afterwards to see your edit apply; and you might even need to delete any recent cookies to avoid bringing back an earlier version, but it'll eventually apply.

Trying to delete this post, but can't figure out how to do a delete?

YOU can't!

The 'Delete own posts or threads' feature was removed from member's capabilities when we discovered the damage the number of posts & threads being posted & then deleted by members was doing to the Forum by degrading its standing with the major search providers, so much so that their search engines were dropping any Forum results either waaay down their results or sometimes even dropping them completely off their listed search results for all things Spyder related, which directly impacted the financial viability of continuing to provide the Forum at all!

So in the interests of keeping the Forum going & available for all both now & on into the future, that particular feature was removed from individual members; but if you ask, any Moderator will be able to help, altho we are more likely to just remove such posts from public view, rather than completely deleting them - there's less damage done to the Forum that way!

That said, now that you've asked & been answered, I'd suggest it's better to leave your post & this reply so that others can also read them & learn from them :ohyea: But you can still tell us if you really want it gone...
