• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do get yard work done.

Just put a new battery in the John Deere. Bought a bunch of lime. Had a few trees cut down that are still laying in the yard.
My wife is really concerned that the yard is now going to go to hell in a hand basket. She knows, every nice weekend, we'll be on the spyder.

Well I came up with a brilliant idea.
You see, the :spyder2: has a little over 4,500 miles on it, and I just brought it in for it's 4000 oil change/checkup. Will also have the Baja Ron's sway bar, and utopia backrest installed while there. I told the dealer I need to get yard work done, and pick up next week will work.

So....I told my wife, that I will do yard work every 4,000 miles we put on the spyder.
Figure it's a win win for both of us.

That's simple, our home is Xeriscaped
Xeriscaping and xerogardening refer to landscaping and gardening in ways that reduce or eliminate the need for supplemental water from irrigation. I am an artist and Landscape designer and this is how our home is landscaped. We have no grass to mow and the plants are all native to this growing area with the odd exception. We have over 70 ton of granite in the landscape and two ponds with automatic fill so you really never have to worry. A landscape like this allows me to ride all summer long.

Well I'm going to buy a canopy roof for our riding tractor so that the Missus can mow in the rain! No cutting into ryding time! :roflblack:

Holy Crap Bob your a genius:roflblack::roflblack:, Maybe throw in a pair of fancy Pink rubber boots and tell her they are from a high end shoe designer. I hope she doesn't see this post or we are both in hot water.

Just got home from picking up the spyder. Now have Ron's sway bar, and utopia backrest.
Man does she ride nice now. Sun is shining and it's saturday.

But.......

I know how my dog felt when I dropped a hamburger.
He looking up at me, and me looking down at him. Daring him to grab it.

I'm looking at the spyder, and my wife is looking at me.......

:banghead:

I think you look as if you might be running a bit of a fever... (SPRING fever...) It would probably be advisable for you to take a short ride to see if the fever goes down.... All of that air rushing by over you and all...;) Holy Crap Bob your a genius:roflblack::roflblack:, Maybe throw in a pair of fancy Pink rubber boots and tell her they are from a high end shoe designer. I hope she doesn't see this post or we are both in hot water. :D I've been in hot water with her for so long that what little bit of a brain that I have is hard-boiled!

I did get the lime applied today. Straightened out the garages, and blew leaves (AGAIN!) If I never see another leaf, I'd be happy.
Maybe that's why I'm "FlaBound"

Got lucky though. Made a grocery run on spyder for my wife. And ooops forgot the roma tomatoes. So had to go out for another ride...err.. I mean grocery run.;)

Then...went and out later to pick up a movie for tonight. Darn it was hard picking a movie. Took me almost an hour. Go figure.

This works great until you start doing your own oil changes. At this point an oil change is like a Nascar pit stop... and back on the road!
Spyder owners could really use a handyman.

NASCAR pit crews? Reminds me of a joke: Rick Hendrick decided that he'd like to shake things up a bit amongst his racers... He decided to bring in some local kids, and let them try out for Pit Crew duty on Dale Jr's team. He assigned them all to teams, and the fun began! As a baseline; Dale's crew could change four tires and gas him up in 12.2 seconds. After an afternoon of thrashing around, Rick was amazed at what he learned. The best of the kid's teams could pull four tires off the car, have it up on cement blocks, drain it of fuel, and sell naked pictures of Danica Patrick to all of the other drivers in under 14 seconds!

That is a pretty good plan! I lived on 5 acres and had the same problem which I fixed by moving to Las Vegas. It takes about 10 minutes to do my grass and five of that is getting the mower in and out of the garage!

I think that my friend in Phoenix is in about the same situation. Her yard is just about big enough for her three small dogs to...
