• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How difficult is it to replace the Windshield on a 2022 RT?

I found a tinted Freedom Shields windshield on the LaMonster website that I would like to purchase. My question is how difficult is it to replace the windshield? Access to the attaching hardware looks some what limited.

Thanks in advance for another one of my newbie questions! It’s a 2022 RT Limited.

I would suggest you look on YouTube, you will find out how easy it is to replace it - just my 2 cents

Sometimes, Lamonster has install videos on his site! But like said above, YouTube is your friend!! Good luck!!! I did one on a 2012, it wasn't that bad, just take your time, and maybe have a set of small hands to back you up! (y)

Real easy, as long as you have an assistant. Note to keep the windshield up hold the UP button when you turn the key off. At least that worked on my 2021 RT

It's easy, just need lock the windshield in the up position as Smitty42 described above. I have the Freedom windshield that I bought from LaMonster. I think you will like it. It does a good job of pushing the air away with the curve at the top and it's a good high quality shield. In the image I attached the windshield is in the all the way up position.

Simple task. Just don't over tighten the (4) windscreen screws. Also, I stuff small towels behind/under the windshield in case I drop a screw :)

Thank you, your 2 cents were worth a lot!! Found a short video showing exactly the steps to remove and install.

Thanks for your input as well, the youtube video said use tape and paper towels and lots of care!

Thanks for the recommendation, I had a similar windshield on the recently traded Harley Freewheeler. They call theirs a wind-splitter which has the curve at the top and darker tint.
