Ever get an MRI? I have gone through it about a dozen times.
Each time they have to ask if I have metal in me or if I have ever got metal or rust particles in my eye.
You than need an x-ray done, waivers filled out etc., which can cause a delay.
I always wondered what would happen if a person lied just to avoid the delay. The metal could be ripped out of places in your body, metal particles could be ripped right out of your eyes.
Some of us tend to take medical facilities for granted and expect equipment and surroundings to be in safe working order but you really should be aware of your surroundings. Keep your eyes open around the MRI room and ask questions.
Metal objects laying around not secured in the room could also be sucked into the chamber.
A non-MRI approved gurney or wheel chair can also be sucked towards the chamber.
Just something to think about.
