There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Hot & Uncomfortable Spyders

I agree with Firefly on this one. Getting rid of the stock seat was what enabled me to make long trips.
We all have different cabooses. Stock, Comfort Seat, Corbin, Russell, or custom, there is probably a seat out there to fit each of us, but not one that fits all of us.

My point was that Fly was making an all encompassing statement when he said the stock seat sucks. It may suck for him and you and others; but, certainly it doesn't suck for everyone. And, Scotty hit it on the head when he mentioned "we all have different cabooses."

I certainly don't mean to speak for you.. and while you might be able to tolerate that stock seat-- as far as seats go--- it really does suck. They used similar seat material and setup that they do on ATV's--- far too cushy, cheaply made. Just the fact that they came out with a 'comfort' seat tells us that there's much more to be desired out of that stock seat.

This isn't surprising since this is their first foray into a dedicated road bike, but even HD and Honda OEM seats are often replaced with aftermarket ones due to varying amounts of 'suckage'....:roflblack:

The first 5,000 miles it was difficult to ryde more than 2 hours with that seat. Day and night difference with the Corbin on--- can easily ryde 8 hours or more.

Glad you're happy with the stock seat--- but if you ride one with a better seat on it you just might find out it's not so great.
Ryde safe.

Believe it or not, but tomorrow I am going to my dealer for an oil change and coolant system check. They usually have one spyder on the floor modded. I was going to see if it had a comfort seat and check it out; if I liked it I was going to purchase. However, we've just been hit with a $1600 vet bill; so, the seat will have to wait. I guess I'll have to use the vet bill to pad my butt for the time being.

Tired Butt

I'm going to try the Air hawk first( cheaper AND portable) If that doesn't work will get the corbin that Cowtown has available. (169 Bucks vs 900!!) AND THE STUCK SEAT REALLY REALLY SUCKS!! Didn't notice that till this trip to Wisconsin via Iowa midstate, and back. ;):cus:

Bummer on the vet bill---- been there-- done that (my dog had his own cardiologist) -- but ya gotta take care of your furry family members! Hope everything is okay.

Actually, the stock RS seat was the very best I have ever ridden, except maybe an old Meyer I had. I was sad when Nancy switched to the Comfort Seat, which she really likes, but which fits me poorly. Until the RT seat came along, I thought the stock RS seat was #1. Like I said...different cabooses.

Your tushy is not alone. I've already ordered a Corbin...LOL

As far as my legs/feet getting hot, no. I was out riding in over 100 degree temps (WV/VA/MD) yesterday and the only heat that was uncomfortable was sitting at lights in town with hot air blowing from fan. I just stuck my leg out when sitting. I always wear boots and jeans.
