Hot Shot Secrets - anyone else use it?

Anyone ever use this product in their Spyder? I use a product from them called Stiction Eliminator in my diesel truck, and it can also be used in gasoline engines too. What it does is dissolve the oil burnish on the inside of the engine from burnt on oil, and turns it back into a liquid form. It also lubricates the engine parts against friction, with nano technology, and makes it run smoother and quieter. Been running it in my truck for a couple of years. Talked to support the other day and asked about running it in the Spyder to clean up the engine, and they said that it can be run in any gasoline engine. You put in 4 oz for every quart of oil, at oil change, and let it stay in there till the next change. Also asked if it would affect the operation of the tranny seeing that it uses the same oil, or clog up the filters, and they said would have no effect on either one. I know several people that use their gas additive and swear by it, but was just wanting to see if anyone else has ever used this as a preventative maintenance?

Looks like it does work wonders on clogged or misfiring fuel injectors. But that is not to say that other products might not do just as well. Can't find too much on normal use on an engine that is functioning properly.

If you are talking about their oil additive, there was only one mention of wet clutch use in that white paper where they used it in a Harley...on the last page. But, friction modifiers in a Spyder's wet clutch? Any JASO rating on this stuff? Probably not because it's an additive and not actual oil. I think I would pass on that. It all sounds like a solution in search of a problem.

I used it in my Ford 6.0 diesel with good results. The 6.0 is notorious for having injector stiction. It was recommended by a diesel mechanic as a possible relief in lieu of injector replacement. Worked well enough for that. But, I would not trust it to a non-sick spyder engine..... Jim

While reading a very involved article about MC oils, one sentence stood out and went something like this; Motor oils have a finely balanced additive package that nothing should be added to.
When a wet clutch is involved, I would not mess with the oil...and make sure it's JASO MA2 rated.
