Horse Country Ride in North Central Florida

Its that time of year again for the horse country ride. The Date is set for Oct. 25, with a rain date of Nov. 1. If anyone is interested in this ride please sign the list below and how many that will be with you. The ride starts in Wildwood at the Burger King like last year. It will be departing at 10:00 AM. We will have a BB at the same place as last year about an hour after we start and will end up at the Golden Corral for lunch in Ocala. Sorry Golden Corrals policy is you have to purchase a meal to enter. We check the Lunch prices for Sat. they are $8.69 + drink, If you are 60 or older $7.59 drink included, this does not include tax or gratuity. We thought it would be better for a buffet so everyone could eat at the same time.

We have a commitment for a tandem bicycle event that weekend in Georgia. If that changes we will see if it's possible to attend.

Is the route downloadable for the GPS? With a 3 plus hour ride to get to Wildwood, just want to be sure we can hook up if we miss the start.

Richard take Hwy 44 west to Wildwood keep going 44 west tell you see the burger King on the right at I-75. It should take you about an hour to make the trip. The ride starts at the Burger King, pulling out at 10AM sharp!

OK her go's from BK turn L go 2/10 of a mile t-l CR 229, CR 466 t-l, change to CR 475, at SW 66th st t-l, And a hole lot of Left and right after that, well take a BB at Gilberts Hardware at the corner of CR 326 and NW CR 225A for 30 min. Than doing a lot more Left an Right ending up at the Golden Corral in Ocala hopefully around 1:30 PM. Just a note I'll have a map of the ride for each rider.

If I were to list all of the left and rights you would go :yikes: trying to figure it out. I don't mind giving the route to anyone that wants it but you would be scratching your heard trying to figure it out. It's just over 80 miles from start to end and I will stay on the back roads as much as possible. 98% of the run is on back roads. Hope we will see you there. We know it is a busy weekend and there is a lot of other rides schedule and to choose from, were just out to enjoy the scenery and ride. John and Carol
