Hood Damage

Husband backed into my Spyder and took the paint off down to where it is black.
Can this be fixed or do I need to get a new hood? If a new hood, where do I find to order?

It would be helpful if you explained what model and year of Spyder you have. Then it would real easy to look up the price of a new hood. If that's all you need. You can order a new hood in the color you want and it will be a perfect color match.

…..It sounds very fixable to me ….. After I added a Bosche retractable antennae on my RT I had to patch the old hole ( 1 1/4 inches )….. I did this with a small BONDO patch kit from Walmart ….. I did my own paint match using Toyota spray paint ….. Unless folks are just being kind , everyone thought it was factory ….. I have BRP White Pearl color...…. Mike :thumbup:

Ok had to look at your profile to see 2012 RTS with that if it's just the paint scraped off, a pro painter may can fix, or might be good time to try a wrap:dontknow: .
If there is a crack in the plastic it will spread :yikes: if it gets down to the hinge area it could just snap off on some random time you open the frunk:lecturef_smilie:, not to mention it will leak. So a new hood might be needed, a wrap may hold it together like tape, it might not:sour: no clue. Also consider the swapping the BRP emblem,
doubt it comes on a new hood (just a understood extra)

If it is not cracked a nice spyder sticker would be a cheap fix .
