• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Honoring my buddies

Thanks

For your replies. partiotgard is down - server problem. I will try in a few days to get on.

Not sure what the families think as I don't currently talk to any of them. Would be nice if I knew the answer to that question.

Three will be from NY. One from Syracuse. where I was born.

Younger brother was in the Army, a ranger in Nam in '69. Lives in Kanas now. Older brother was in Air Force, in Siagon, three tours. now lives in Colorado.

Corpsman that worked on me twice lives in Texas. Got to call him, it has been a year since we talked.

All servicemem/women are awesome for serving.

Think I will talk to a graphics shop next week & try to see how well it will work out on the spyder trunk.

Thanks for everybodies replies, I respect them all,
Bob

Please post pictures when it is completed.

My grandson is in the Marine Corp... The 3rd Marine Air Wing... he will be on his way to Afganistan in just 15 days. No matter what war... many have made the sacrifice to preserve our freedom and way of life.

I believe John Stewart Mill said it best....

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. "

BOB, don't know if this will bring back bad memories? When I'm asked about NAM, What was it like, I tell them watch Billy Jole's video Good Night Saigon' And listen to the words.

On a lighter note i think i was near you last Aug. I followed my son ,him on his Busa, me on the Spyder to Tug Hill. He's a snowmobile nut so we were looking at some property on a snowmobile trail. Haven't found any thing yet, still looking.

You weren't far from me. I live in oswego County about eighteen miles from route 81. Getting land around Tug Hill is tough. I live about a third of a mile from the main trail that goes to Tug Hill. might want to look south of the hill on the trail. probably get a better deal. Son is up at Barnes corners riding today. Snow on the trails is about gone.

There is a bike meet in Oswego in July at Oswego Speedway. also Harborfest in Oswego that same wekend. Might be a good time to look again and make both functions.

My place is for sale but I think it is already sold, probably not what you are looking for anyway.

Guess I will be going to the graphics shop sometime this week and get going on my Spyder.

Hope everyones' loved ones get back from iraq and Afganistan safe and sound!!!

Thanks for everybody's replies,
bob
