I had to replace the exhaust gaskets on my 09 spyder. After reading some of the forums on here about replacing them,:gaah: I was a little worried about changing them.
They say to get the job done the easy way is to let a lazy person do it.
I put the gaskets in the freezer for about an hour. Then with ten minutes left to remove them, I started to heat the exhaust pipes with a heat gun.I didn't want to use a flame to heat them. With my luck I might not have a gagage left. When I removed them from the freezer, they were a little tight going on the upper exhaust pipe. With the lower exhaust pipe hot, the lower slid right on with out any trouble. Put the springs on and tighten the clamp and that was it.
hyea: No jacks or hammers used to install them.
Good luck if you try this.
