• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Homecoming dinner

Quite a number of us Spyder Homecoming attendees also went to the Spyder dinner Friday night. It was good, a little pricey for what we got, but what motel doesn't have high cost restaurant food? After we ate, Marc LaCroix started giving his presentation. He started by having everyone stand up and check the bottom of their chairs for something. I saw a chunk of duct tape holding what looked like a D-ring under mine. I thought it was something to hold the chairs together for storage or something. Then I looked at dltang's chair and she didn't have anything like it on the bottom of her chair and neither did the person next to me. So I yanked off the duct tape and found this.

Pretty nice, a Spyder keychain. Then Marc continues on with this story about Spyder employees who own Spyders having their own special parking area at the factory. They all have parking signs issued to them that designate a Spyder only parking spot. He showed us one of the signs and then said that they were giving everyone who had a keychain under their chair one of the Spyder reserved parking signs. Now I just have to decide exactly where I want to hang mine. :doorag:

They wrapped up the evening by showing us video they shot that day of the Americade to Valcourt ride. It was very nice and had a lot of people oooh'ing and aaah'ing. Marc said that video and others made from the weekend will be posted on the Spyder Rider site so everyone can check it out.
