• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Home At Last!

We finally got home from the Durango trip this evening. Sixteen days and about 4,300 miles...no real problems. I apologize for dropping the trip blog I started, but my netbook died two days out and the phone wasn't a viable substitute. I'll fill in the gaps and details there later. Still have dozens of pictures and vids to download.

We had a great time. Met lots of old friends, and many new ones. Thanks to all that took the time to seek us out and say "Hi." We did our best to circulate, but I can tell from the pictures FlamingoBabe posted that we missed meeting a lot of good folks. We'll try to do better next time. We rode lots of fantastic roads, saw some amazing sights, and got in rides on five railroads in the bargain. The fires kept us from Pikes Peak, but Plan B worked out great when we rode to Alamosa and Antonito, and rode the Cumbres & Toltec. If you are ever in the area again, it is a must!

Lots of heat on the return voyage. Missed the meanest part of the storm today, though. The rain from Peoria, IL, to Chesterton, IN, was the only rain during the whole trip. At least it cooled things off. Riding through several straight days of triple digit temps almost did this old Yankee in. Rode these last few days in long sleeved, high tech shirts, sans mesh jackets. First time ever for us for that.

We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to BRP for the marvelous job they did with this event. It was absolutely the best ever! Thanks also to the town of Durango for the warm welcome and the hospitality. What an amazing location! This was an event we will all remember forever. Super job, BRP!

Glad to hear you guys made it home safely. We're in Cheyenne, Wyoming with Ed in the hospital unexpectedly and me stranded without transportation...no motorcycle endorsement and I really haven't tackled driving an almost 38 ft toyhauler. It's really turning into an interesting trip...sorry we weren't able to sightsee with you guys in Colorado Springs.

How's Ed doing? I hope it is not too serious and you are both back on the road doing what you do best!
He's grouchy they aren't letting him eat (and I'm feeling guilty that I can)...we're waiting for the doctors to come in this morning to find out what they recommend next. Thanks for the support. We're both hoping to be back on the road again soon. (Sorry, NancysToy, if I've hijacked your thread).

Boy am I glad that you're back!
I actually tried to answer a couple of REAL questions in here that would have been easy for you... for me; not so much! :yikes:
Glad that you guys had a good trip! :2thumbs:
Now get back to work! :lecturef_smilie: :roflblack:

Hijack all you want. We are worried about Ed, too. We were just as disappointed not to get to sightsee around Colorado Springs with you guys. Wish you had been on the Cumbres & Toltec with us as an alternative, though. Time to check out rental cars in Cheyenne, huh?

Glad you made it home safe. Those were some wicked storms last night. Didn't hit us but hit west of us. Time to rest up now from that long trip.
