• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Holy cow! What does it take to disconnect?

Tell me about it. Try calling them and telling Comcast to remove some of your service, all they want is your money. Customer service sucks.

Ask them for just internet (No TV) and that is like pulling teeth and cutting off one arm to get that done.

Plan on a minimum 1 hour on the phone with them too. :banghead:

There ought to be a law. But, good luck with that. :roflblack::roflblack:

I suspect the situation is all over the internet. Take the "free" offer, give them a CC number as required. Then the drop shipments start. Try to cancel them in a timely manner. There job is to get you so frustrated that you give up. :dontknow:

We just sold our house and started the disconnecting process. After about 30 minuets of that BS my lovely bride for the last 44 years hung up in frustration. I told her 44 years ago that I had her back so I took the box of cable equipment that we had gathered up as we had 4 TVs, modem, home alarm, all through Comcast. I took it down to the local Comcast store ( Luckily we live in a small town) told them of her bad experience and said if I'm not out of here in 10 minuets it was going to end badly for all of us involved. I was closed out in LESS than 10 minuets!

It's sad that sometimes you have to be rude just so someone gets the point, most of these sales staff are coached to not take no for an answer but in my world NO means NO.

I find 99% of the time I am talking to someone from Pakistan.

And when I do take my boxes back to the store they ask why and I tell them, then I get a lecture on why they are only doing there job at the store. REALLY :banghead:
