• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I rode something similar to this last year. We hopped on the Trace at Tupelo & rode down to Natchez over into Louisiana all the way back up into Arkansas & then on over to Memphis. I was the only Spyder too! It was a blast! I would do it again if I could. Enjoy!

Nowhere. :spyder:in the shop 80 miles away, waiting for shift switch.
Hopefully will take only 2 weeks to get back instead of 2 months like last time(DESS Module), or 3 months the time before that (DPS/steering issue).:gaah:

With a lot of holliday weekend tourists rolling in, in RV's, trucks towing boat, jet ski's, campers and bike trailers. I think I'll head for the boat ramp and watch the fighting of whose next on the ramp and the tempers flare when one has a problem backing his trail down, either to launch or retrieve. Its a good way to get some laughs, with a log jam of boater's trying to get out and those trying to get in.:D

Some have asked why I don't go out on the long holliday weekends and when I take them over to the boat ramp, they quickly know why? Imagine all these idiots in cars and trucks on the highways and now put them in boats and on jet ski's, drinking, drunk and/or high on something?:yikes:

Talking to a few Coast Guards men/women along with game wardens and police, they expect this to be a very busy weekend on the water, since the other holliday weekends were ruined by the oil spill. Sea Tow should be real busy as well.

I'll park my Spyder and watch the action rather than be a player, in the mess at the ramp.

Tuesday, after, Labor Day, the wife and I are heading up to the Portage Point Inn in Onekama, Mi. It's really for a little R & R for her. The Inn first opened in 1903 and was a long time destination resort. It has been restored(we hope:roflblack:). We will be trailering the spyder and plan on doing some riding while we are there; especially along the lake on MI 22. We will also be taking in MacKinac Island. We have never been in that area and are really looking forward to our trip.

Going to Lubbock, by Southwest. RT-S is in the shop, been there for 12 days without moving. Said they'd get to it today. Same thing they said when I took it in, when I stopped to see if they hooked up BUDS, and when I delivered the body parts I took off. Maybe I'll get it back for that one cool fall day we get each year.

house cleaning today and food shopping saturday stockcar racing, sunday going to fair maybe, monday relax maybe a movie day at home. All subject to change if something better comes along

Be sure to ride your Spyder through the Tunnel of Trees while you're up there, if you can. Its southwest of Mackinaw City. Also, when Debbie and I were in Mackinaw City in the spring of 2009, we ate at a fun little diner called Bridgeview Diner. Great food and inexpensive. I agree with every review for the Bridgeview Diner in the link I provided. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Thanks, Brian. Will try to check it out. Looking forward to it. I already had the Tunnel of Trees on the itinerary. Really looking forward to seeing northen Michigan.

Going Nowhere

My RT-S arrived at the dealer Wed. but during the 1 1/2 week wait they never ordered the comm/cb system or the trailer hitch, or the trailer fro that matter. So prolly be wed.next before I have it. My wife has to work tomorrow so maybe I'll ryde the Harley (for sale) the 50 miles to the dealer and drool on the Spyder. The only thing that's up around here is the stock market.

My weekend will be New Concord OH to Maquoketa IA, but I'll be on 18 wheels instead of 3 though. Terrorizing the amateurs. Need to get home for a few to get my 600mi done and my MC endorsement. I need a stack of paperwork for my CDL change. :gaah:
