• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HMF EXHAUST

I want to put HMF exhaust on my 13 rs but not put fuel optimizer. Does anyone know if I need this. If so is there exhaust out there that doesn't.

THANKS:clap:

Hard to say..!!

I run a hindle exhaust and JT's air system and no fuel controller. HMF has different models but if you stay away from the competition models you should be fine. Maybe there is someone running an HMF without a controller. Many shop just automatically tell you you need the controller...

I have an HMF on my 2013 RS. They only have one option for the 2013's so it makes pick one easy. You will not need any other mods and it is an easy swap. I've got about 1500 miles on mine and love it.

We ran for awhile on a 12' and an 11' both with HMF exhausts and no additional fuel manegement. No issues.
Is yours an SM or SE? We have had some decel popping on SE machines, but it's not anything that is going to hurt anything. Just annoying.

+1 on the HMF

the hmf sounds great. if i were to buy a factory made pipe, it would be the hmf. excellent bang for the buck.

SM5

THANKS

Hmf have a great sound and a better price. 10,000 miles on my HMF without any juice box and no issues. I get a little backfire laying off the throttle when its hot out +85.

Watch the clearance of the pipe and the parking brake pulley on the right side of the rear wheel. The HMF pipe installs pretty snug to the bike...which I personally like but if your not careful you can install it in a way that it will hit when the suspension compresses

HERE'S WHAT IT WILL SOUND LIKE ON A 2014 RSS;););)[/QUOTE]
Put It on tonight sounds good gut thought it would be a little louder. Does it get a little louder as it breaks in:gaah:

Probably the only way to get it a little louder is to remove the Cat Converter, the 2013s have it before the Muffler. Lamonster does one. I have one being made for my 2013 ST SM5 with an Akrapovic.

Mine has gotten louder after about 1500 miles. It is louder, but still not obnoxious.

how to make your pipe a little louder

run the bike up to 110 a few times. that should do it.
