• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

hmf exhaust

Short answer - no. May of us have the hmf pipe and do not run any type of juice box. If you add a K&N or any other type of performance air filter then you may want to add the efi controller. If its just the pipe you're adding and you get some backfiring ( some more than others) you will want to add a evoluzione o2 modifier. (about $90). Mine will backfire when i hammer on it and let off the throttle. I dont mind it.

If you ride the spyder at normal or close to normal speeds, you will have no issues, other than possible hesitation and an occasional backfire. If you are one of the ones that love wide open throttle for extended periods of time, add a power commander or another brand to prevent the spyder from leaning out real bad. They run lean from the factory and any changes to the intake or exhaust levels can result in leaner running conditions.

I've had the Kewlmetal exhaust and now a cherrybomb muffler, both with the stock airbox, and never needed anything more than the O2 modifier.
